Enemy #1

If you follow dam removal you probably know that the dams on the Snake River are in the sights of people that want to save the salmon. If you look at all the factors though, from power generation to transportation the Snake dams do actually provide a decent value to humans. So this particular dam is one that no longer provides power, provides no irrigation nor flood control, and opens hundreds of kilometers of river.

The Enloe Dam is the most significant, and one of the most useless pieces of infrastructure in a major waterway in North America.

On the Similkameen river just west of a little town called Oroville near the Canadian/US border lives the most useless dam in the Columbia watershed.
